How to install your air filter

Air Return Vent or Air Handler/Furnace

If your home has an air return vent, locate your air return vent.

  • Turn the unit off. Turning this off prevents the air from blowing dust and grit into your system.

  • Open up your vent and remove the used filter.

  • Make sure the Air Flow Arrows are pointing toward the HVAC Unit.

  • Install the new filter and close your vent.

  • Turn the unit on and you're done!

If your home has an air handler or furnace, the air filter can be found within or near the air handler/furnace.

  • First, turn the unit off.
  • Locate the area which houses the air filter near the air supply and remove the panel.
  • Then removed used filter.
  • Check the Air Flow Arrows and install the new filter. Make sure the Air Flow Arrows are pointing toward the HVAC unit.
  • Replace your panel.
  • And finally, turn the unit on.
