The nominal size is the approximate size of the air filter. This is most likely the large size printed on your air filter stating its size.

Actual Air Filter Size: 23 3/8" x 23 3/8" x 3 3/4" Actual Size:

The actual size is the exact size of the air filter. These are the actual dimensions of the air filter if you were to measure it. (plus or minus 1/8th of an inch)

Eco-Aire’s MERV 8 pleated filter utilizes electrostatically charged, 100% synthetic Kimberly Clark media which offers significantly higher particulate efficiency than regular poly/cotton media pleated filters, with little change in static pressure. These filters capture airborne particles/allergens between 3-10 microns in size, such as particles that carry viruses and bacteria, pollen, mold spores, fine dust and pet dander. Eco-Aire’s MERV 8 filter media will not promote the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew, or fungi in normal operating environments, and has not been chemically treated. These MERV 8 pleated filters are an ideal upgrade from standard disposable panel filters.

Over 30-times more efficient at capturing micro particles than ordinary fiberglass filters. Each filter lasts UP TO 3 months! One 6-pack typically provides up to a year’s supply of cleaner air. This product is listed and rated by Underwriters Laboratories as U.L. Class 2.

This filter is comparable to the 3M Filtrete Dust & Pollen: Filtrete 600

Note: We do not recommend using our 4" air filters as replacements for Trion Air Bear, Honeywell, Trane, or Space-Gard filters that usually run in 5" and 6" depths.  These 4" air filters are meant for commercial applications as well as those customers looking for increased efficiency in their homes if their air return can specifically support a 4" filter.
